Hi! My 3 year old has terrible eczema. I want to invest in a rescue suit from AD. Just so I am clear – you actually wet the rescue suit, wring it out, and put a DRY layer of Jammie’s on over the rescue suit? Can my daughter sleep all night in the rescue suit? Thank you in advance!

    • Hi Allie – Yes, you’re correct. You dampen the suit with warm water and add a dry layer over top, some cotton pjs would be great. Overnight is great, but only if you can keep the suit damp, which can be hard in the winter with all our indoor dry air. I usually just let me child wear it during the day for a couple of hours and pop and movie in to distract them from the suit. I hope this helps!

Great guide! Would love to try this for my 5 month old at night, but I am concerned that it would make middle of the night diaper changes difficult. Would love your opinion before I invest in the AD RescueWear.

    • Hi Tia –

With the wrapping suits, it’s not as easy to diaper change as it is with a two piece pjs for sure, but it’s worth it. These suits are really helpful in boosting the effects of wet wrapping to soothe and heal eczema.

Wet wrapping is indeed increasingly supported by studies as helping to improve eczema 🙂 Do check back with doc regularly too as it also should not be overdone, supposedly there’s also risk of infection if always occluded for long periods. From what I recall doc said, about 2 weeks .. any thoughts?

    • Yes Mei – great point! Wet wrapping is NOT recommended for long term use as it can actually dry out the skin if done too often.

  4. This is great, but where can you find wrap clothing for children? All I can ever find is through toddler size.
