New Blog Logo – Please Vote For Your Favorite!
Hi everyone! So, it’s time for It’s an Itchy Little World to have a complete blog makeover. I’ve never really been a fan of the look of this blog as I honestly just threw it together two years ago when I started it and never looked back. But, now it’s time for a new look.
Most of you know this blog is loosely tied to my online boutique, The Eczema Company. From time to time I promote sales or new items from The Eczema Company here, but I try to keep it to a minimum because I want the blog to stand alone as well as be a source for anyone looking for alternative and sometimes conventional answers to managing eczema, allergies, and asthma. I share my family’s journey with these health conditions here, as well as advice from natural practitioners, and I love to feature success stories from others to give you hope, to show you that you can find relief, it just takes time and a whole lot of dedication.
So, what in the world does all this have to do with a blog makeover of all things??!!
I need your help….
I have two great logos, thanks to Miaou Studio, and I simply cannot decide between the two.
Logo 1 – Trees
I like this one because it ties loosely into The Eczema Company with the little butterfly from the company’s logo. I also like the scratchy looking trees which remind me of being itchy and of allergens. Please note that the green will be slightly darker. Sorry it’s a little blurry 🙁
Logo 2 – Monster
The blue is what ties it into The Eczema Company. I think the little monster is fun and cute, but at the same time his scratchy, disheveled hair and puzzled expression really relates to what most of us are going through right now on our own journey to healing – just trying to solve this mystery of eczema, allergies, and asthma.
Which is your favorite? Please vote by October 15, 2013 and help us select a new logo for It’s an Itchy Little World!
FROM: Eczema
Top one! I love how it ties in with The Eczema Company. Makes sense to have the brand carry over into both.
Thanks, that’s what I was thinking. It’s great to have another designer’s opinion!
😉 I like the blue guy, but I just feel like he doesn’t belong. He’s cool, though!
I like the first one 🙂
Thanks Tracy!
I’m personally drawn more towards the tree one. However, the monster sort of makes more sense. lol I’m no help at all.
Oh, yes you are helpful! I appreciate your vote, even if it is on the fence 😉
Goodness, they are so different. The little monster is growing on me. Not a fan of the trees, but I like the butterfly tie in. Since this is just the blog logo, I’m going with the little blue monster.
Thanks mom 🙂
I’m liking both with a slight preference to the little monster. Totally reminds me of my itchy little men and their constantly disheveled hair! They are both great!
Ha! Yes! Same here…thanks for your vote Shelley!
Gonna have to vote for the little blue monster because he looks like he could be related to the “scratchy monster” from my book. Maybe they are cousins?
If the little blue monster wins, you will have to give him a name. I like Spike.
I like the top one as it feels calming/cute while the other feels a bit anxious.
Love the first one!
trees! for sure… cute logos!
I like them both, but I like the trees better!
I like the tree logo best-blue monster just doesn’t seem to fit in right!
Going for the Blue Monster because it’s him- he’s the one that we need to solve. As a reader looking for answers, it’s like there you are- you can’t win that’s why I’m here. Hope this helps.
It is him isn’t it – not sure if a constant reminder of our frustrations is a good thing or not….pondering. Thanks for the feedback!
Opps.. am I too late?
Unfortunately … IMHO, both logos don’t do justice to the tremendous agitation and pain caused by THE ITCH.
But if it’s a choice between these two, I’m more inclined to the blue (2nd) one…. the trees somehow don’t quite connect to an itch! (ok, I admit I don’t know a lot about “The Eczema Company”, so I’m probably negatively biased)
Gosh, so sorry I am not helping much.

Nope, not too late. Thanks for your feedback Stephen!
I like the tree! The butterfly ties into the Eczema Company logo. Your blog is a “branch” of your company, trees remind me of growth, you focus on natural healing methods, etc. I think the monster is cute, but he seems a little frustrated at the same time, which I know many of us feel that when dealing with this Itchy Little World, but the tree makes me think of the future.
Hey – Good point about the future…..always great feedback, thanks Selena!
Loving the first one 🙂
I’d go with the blue monster – it’s got more visual impact, especially if you need to use a smaller version. And more memorable. I won’t worry too much about the visual tie-up with The Eczema Company, you are building yourself a great personal brand that links the two entities 🙂
Thanks for the feedback Jae!
Hi Jen, both are lovely, but think the trees convey a natural calming feel whereas the monster logo shows the helplessness of an eczema patient.Sorry I am of no help, lol!
Thanks for your feedback Shan!
Logo 1 for me!!!
Both are very creative; however, the second one conveys that you’re targeting something more specific– maybe a cool logo for an event, fundraiser, etc. The first one is perfect for a logo to use continuously.
Keep blogging, we love reading.
They are both really cute but I think the 2nd one has more impact, I think that the spikiness of the monster does a good job of conveying an itchy message. I also think that the second one would be instantly recognizable and more memorable than the first.
Anyhow that’s my 2 cents worth!
Good luck with your decision.
Deb
I like the monster!
Hi Elizabeth – I know, me too! He’s so darn cute. You’ll see the winning logo in the next day or so…..
Logo 1 for me- has a more calming look to it. It’s more aesthetically appealing IMHO 🙂
Thanks Jamie for your vote! The big reveal is coming soon!
