Can I Tempt You with Another Elimination Diet?

I know some of you are curious about elimination diets and some of you may be slightly interested in trying one, but think it may be too much work. Well, what would you say if I told you I’m going to start a new one, much more structured, and I’m looking for a few buddies to journey down this foreign road with?

Can I tempt you with joining me on my next food elimination diet?

Before you say no…..I’m thinking April will be a good time to start, so you have time to mentally prepare. The days will be warming up and the two day smoothie detox will be easier to face when there isn’t snow on the ground. Yes, there is a two day liquid diet to jump start this diet. I know, it scared me too, but this is why I’m looking for buddies. We can motivate each other and keep one another on track. We can review the recipes during each phase of the diet and give tips on which ones are best. We can make it fun!

Why consider an elimination diet? To just feel better overall. To feel healthier. And if you have any of the following conditions:

  • Acid Reflux
  • Chronic Headaches
  • Arthritis
  • Eczema
  • Psoriasis
  • Asthma
  • Acne
  • Chronic Fatigue
  • Add /ADHD
  • Autism
  • Multiple Sclerosis
  • Irritable Bowel Disease

Of course, please don’t enter into this sort of diet without consulting your physician first. And I’m not recommending this diet for children, although some of the meals in the diet would be ok and very good for them, just not this full elimination diet primarily because of the early liquid only phase. Gulp!

Have I peaked your interest? Still not sure? Here is the diet I’ll be following from Whole Life . I am just so in love with their blog and their healthy recipes. If you follow my blog, you already know this. Their recipes make frequent appearances here.

And, to make things even more interesting, there may just be some involvement from the folks over at Whole Life Nutrition. Maybe there will be a giveaway? Say a free cookbook? That’s all I’ll say for now. More to come soon!

Who’s with me??!!!!

I need to do more research on the Whole Life Nutrution phenomenon…but I may be interested. I, too, am allergic to nuts, but with a few days to plan I’m sure I can figure an accommodation out. When in April?!

    • Great! No, I think his will wait until June or July. Can you wait that long? I have family visiting and then I have a conference. It won’t slow down enough to nail down this diet until later. I hope you’ll join me.

  2. I went over to The Whole Life Nutrition site and loved her guest post by this little lark…the 5 Ways to Overcome Emotional Blocks During Dietary Changes. I set up a link on my post from today…Surviving the Limitations of Food Allergies…as I felt her ideas were relatable. My diet consists of very little dairy, gluten and lots of fruit and vegetables and I feel great! I will think about going completely off both…it certainly would be a challenge adding yet another adapted meal to the already diverse menu plan I have going here! lol I’ll give it some thought and look into the recipes to see how do able it is. It would have to be peanut/tree nut free and sesame free as I do not have either in the house. Great idea!

      • Yes, their recipes do sound yummy! Their use of nuts could pose a problem. Will look into it!
